United Women in Faith, while still connected to The United Methodist Church, is changing to include women from other faith systems. The major links of UWF to the current United Methodist structure are:
The local group - Walnut Creek United Methodist Church (WCUMC) local unit
The district organization - WCUMC is in the Los Rios District
The conference organization - We are part of the California / Nevada Conference
The jurisdiction organization - We are part of the Western Jurisdiction
The national office - headquartered in New York City - 475 Riverside Drive 15th Floor New York, New York 10115
All of these groups relate to one another in a variety of ways; each group is empowered to structure itself in ways that fulfill the PURPOSE, best use the gifts of its members and meet the needs of its community in the world. Every level of the organization is connected in mission with Global Ministries.
